Dear valued patient,
After much soul searching, deliberation and prayer, we at Titus Dentistry have decided that, beginning January 1, 2024, we will no longer be contracted with Delta Dental.
Can I still see Dr. Titus?
Yes! You can still come to our office and you can still use your dental insurance benefits here. Unlike many medical insurance plans, most dental plans do not restrict you to only see certain providers. We will continue to submit your insurance claims and work to maximize your benefits.
Why?
The reasons are many and varied but the most pressing reason is that insurance reimbursement rates have failed to keep up with the ever increasing expense of delivering quality health care. We refuse to compromise on the quality of the materials, processes, and time that enables us to deliver the quality of care we believe our patients deserve.
What does this mean for me financially?
We have found that for most insurances, there is little difference in benefit coverages for contracted and non-contracted offices making your out of pocket expenses change very little. This can, however, vary from policy to policy.
The biggest change will likely be the fact that Delta Dental will begin to send insurance checks directly to you, the patient, once the insurance claim is processed. Therefore, beginning January 1, 2024 we will begin collecting the full fee at each appointment for the work completed that day via cash, check, credit card, Care Credit, or Alphaeon Credit.
We understand that this is a change. Our hope is that you will continue to visit our office for your dental care. On our part, we remain committed to delivering the highest quality of dental care to our beloved patients by utilizing the best and latest techniques and technology in a relationship-centered care model that puts the needs of the patients we serve above all else.
You will likely receive a letter from Delta Dental in the coming months. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office with any questions or concerns or to discuss alternatives to your current insurance.
Gratefully,
